At peony, we care deeply for our environment and our community. Our mission is to create consciously, engage in ongoing reflection and continually drive progress forward towards sustainability, circularity, inclusivity and transparency.
All peony materials are carefully selected with intention and care. For swimwear, 100% of our fabrics are made from recycled content. This includes our printed fabrics, our custom textures and our inner linings. This is the peony standard and has been since 2019. We have never wavered from this standard and we never will.
Our design vision is to consciously create beautiful pieces that instil freedom, transcend seasons and stand the test of time. Created in-house exclusively, our textile prints begin as hand sketches and custom fabrics are designed from the yarn, allowing each piece to be purest expression of our distinct handwriting.
Nurturing genuine, long-term and mutually beneficial relationships with our suppliers is a cornerstone of our sustainability vision. Our aim is to work alongside our suppliers to drive progress while ensuring all involved are treated fairly and respectfully along the way.
We choose to partner with suppliers that share our vision for a more sustainable future. Our guidelines outline our minimum social, ethical, environmental and legal requirements and form part of our business relationships.
We encourage thoughtful practices when caring for your peony pieces. Taking good care of your garments will extend their life and conserve natural resources, allowing each piece to be treasured for seasons to come.
We believe a healthy environment facilitates thriving communities, near and far. Peony is proud to partner with various community based enterprises that share our values. As part of our movement towards a circular model, we donate end of the line garments directly to those in need and to organisations that on sell them and donate the proceeds.

Thread tape measure under your arms, around your back and across the fullest part of your bust. Once you have the tape measure lined up, relax your arms at either side
Your natural waistline is the narrowest part of your waist, above your belly button and below your rib cage. Run the tape measure around your waist (like a belt), keeping it straight.
Stand on a level surface with your feet together. Measure the fullest part of your bottom and upper thighs, not around your hip bones. Ensure the tape is straight around your body.
If you don't have a measuring tape, you can use a piece of string and then measure the string length with a ruler. Tape should be horizontal all around, and fit close to the body. These are tips to measure your body, not the garment.
