There is a special kind of magic that drifts in with the festive season — a soft shimmer of anticipation, the sense that joy is blooming quietly in the corners of the day. To honour this feeling, the peony marketing girls gathered for an intimate soirée at Le Jardin, dressed in our most-loved pieces from our Tapestry collection.
We began our afternoon around the table, building a cheeseboard. Strawberries tumbled beside triple cream Brie, layered wafer crackers and pear slices fanned delicately between gouda and grapes. Nothing fancy, just a simple and quietly beautiful spread that you can't help but gather around.
Before settling in to eat, we wandered into the garden to pick a few small flowers for the table. Lucy, Alyse and Beck gathered tiny blooms from the flower beds, each one chosen for its colour or charm. With their woven raffia hats and the soft afternoon light, the moment felt tender and unhurried. It was a simple reminder of how lovely it is to step outside and let nature shape the setting.

Back in the kitchen, we turned our attention to dessert. Together, we made a tiramisu using Nagi Maehashi’s Easy Tiramisu recipe — and while we had the best intentions, the outcome was… delightfully imperfect.
In the excitement of preparing it as a team (and perhaps sipping a little too much champagne), we dipped the biscuits into the warm espresso far too long. The result? A wonderfully soggy tiramisu that held more charm than structure. It was a very traditional recipe too, and as we tasted it, we couldn’t help but imagine how lovely it might have been with some extra fresh cream folded into the mix or served generously on the side.
Still, there was something quietly special about the whole process. We folded the mascarpone until it was cloud-like, dusted the top with cocoa, laughed at our culinary missteps, and agreed that sometimes the best moments come from things not going quite to plan.
When everything was ready, we carried it all outside. The cheeseboard, the tiramisu, and a bottle of chilled champagne found their place on the table beneath the softening afternoon light. The garden had slipped into its golden glow, becoming the perfect backdrop for our little celebration. We sat together, enjoying the food we had made, clinking glasses, and letting our conversations drift from the year that has passed to the hopes we carry into the next.

It was a simple gathering, but a beautiful one. A reminder that the most meaningful moments often come from slowing down and sharing something lovely with the people around you.
